Each year over 6 million dogs and cats enter animal shelters for a variety of reasons such as behavioral challenges, financial hardship, life changes or a lack of resources. Shelters often find themselves as a last resort for pet guardians in crisis with issues that have already become too complex or entrenched to resolve easily.

We believe that by addressing these root causes, we can help relieve an overburdened shelter system and help facilitate more pets remaining in their loving homes.

The Good Bones Alliance is dedicated to keeping pets and their families together by providing essential resources, support, and education. By offering accessible solutions, we work to prevent unnecessary surrenders and strengthen the lifelong bond between people and their pets.

We're just getting started, but our focus is clear: building strong connections with community partners who are already doing incredible work. Our goal is to supplement and support efforts, not duplicate. As we listen and learn, we're committed to identifying and filling gaps to meet the evolving needs of our communities.
